Buffalo Grove holding bicycle rodeo

Buffalo Grove is holding a bicycle rodeo 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at Busch Grove Skate Park (Mike Rylko Park), 1000 N. Buffalo Grove Road (at the southwest corner of Buffalo Grove Road and Deerfield Parkway). bike rodeo is a bicycle skills course designed by the office of the Illinois Secretary of State that provides an opportunity for children to test their bike riding skills. Children ages 5-12 of all skill levels are encouraged to attend, with their helmets. Awards will be given to first, second and third place winners in each age group. There will be free give-a-ways for participants, including a new bicycle. Free bicycle helmet fittings are provided by the Wheeling Wheelmen Bicycle Club and the Buffalo Grove Police bicycle officers.
