Robbery charges dropped against Palatine teens

Cook County prosecutors on Monday dismissed armed robbery charges against three Palatine teenagers.
The charges were dropped against Qua’son Parker, 19; Kenneth Smith, 18; and Justin Wilson, 16.
Their arrests followed two incidents that occurred within 10 minutes of each on Sept. 24, 2012, on the 600-800 block of East Whispering Oaks Court. In the first incident, police said robbers confronted a 25-year-old man and demanded money as he exited his vehicle about 9:35 p.m. Minutes later, the same suspects confronted a woman in her 50s with the same demands as she exited her vehicle.
