Carpentersville girl who took fatal fall off truck identified

The DuPage County coroner has identified a Carpentersville woman who died when she fell off the back of a truck.

The Northwest Herald reports that the coroner identified the woman as 19-year-old Stephanie Siers of Carpentersville. She was working on the truck when she fell and hit her head on Sunday. Police say she worked for a contractor removing snow and ice from a business property.

Oak Brook police say emergency responders took her to a nearby hospital where she later died. The driver of the truck wasn't charged.

Officer Ben Kadolph calls it “a very tragic accident.”
