Volunteers crucial to children’s museum
Volunteers are one of our nation’s most valuable resources. Every day millions of caring people enrich their communities by helping to educate our children and prepare them for the future.
DuPage Children’s Museum is all about nurturing a new generation of creative problem solvers. Our volunteers are helping to build critical thinking skills in young children to better prepare them for the future. It’s hard to imagine where DuPage Children’s Museum would be without the aid and dedication of these volunteers.
We would like to take this opportunity to say a special thank you to the over 800 volunteers who make a difference every day in our organization and community. As a nonprofit organization, we rely heavily on our volunteers to help us achieve our ambitious goals. Without volunteer support, it would be impossible for the Museum to accomplish our mission of stimulating curiosity, creativity, and problem solving in young children. We extend our sincere appreciation to our volunteers for the time, energy, and passion they share with the museum.
This past year has been an exceptional time for the museum — thanks in great part to the involvement of our volunteers. They have helped the museum meet the many challenges of operating on a day-to-day basis. Volunteers have performed numerous jobs including administrative tasks, interacting with children, staffing events, exhibit repair and maintenance, and much more. Over 300,000 children and their caregivers benefit each year from their help and services.
Through their service and commitment to the DuPage Children’s Museum, our volunteers are helping us make a difference in the lives of thousands of children.
