Voting is your responsibility
As the cartoon character POGO once said, "We have found the enemy and it is us!"
I've heard a lot of lame excuses lately, like "My one vote doesn't count," "I don't like either candidate," "He's OK but don't like his position on xxxx" and "I'm too busy."
Just as scary are those suggesting we don't vote for any incumbent. No candidate is perfect but one of them is closer to your beliefs than the other and you don't have the luxury to opt out and let others decide the fate of our country.
We have legislators voting for bills that don't create jobs, are deficit negative, socialist agenda, pork riddled (earmarks), and politically motivated. The federal government is killing job growth, preventing the Gulf cleanup, suing Arizona and playing the race card.
Well, who elected these guys? Who has the power to get rid of them? And Edmund Burke said, "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
So, voters, stop whining. Take some time to understand the issues and get yourself to the polls. Regardless of your candidates of choice, it's time to show some responsibility.
