West has shown poor judgment

Coroner Chuck West should resign immediately. Failing that, he should be removed from office.

Permitting office employees to take the property of the deceased for "storage" shows that he lacks the necessary judgment to hold office. Did he also let them take possession of the weapons and other items at the death scene?

I worked in local law enforcement for 30 years and never once did the coroner's employees take possession of anything at a scene other than the body. If property at a scene needs to be safeguarded, that is the responsibility of the local police department or sheriff's office.
