Bartlett has itself a merry little party
The village of Bartlett kicked off the holidays with a merry little party Friday evening in Bartlett Park that involved Santa and the debut of the village’s new tree.
On a chilly night, Bartlett residents nevertheless had a warm time, mingling, and watching as the new tree was lit for the first time.
The village, chamber of commerce and Bartlett Park District bought and planted this tree several years ago in anticipation of this year, when the old tree would be too large to be decorated safely.
Connie Born, aka Mrs. Santa Claus, holds on to 7-month-old Tyler Griffin of Chicago, who was in Bartlett visiting his great-grandmother at the tree-lighting ceremony on Friday.
