Who's really the RINO?

One of Donald Trump's favorite epithets hurled against anyone who has dared challenge him is to call that person a RINO (Republican In Name Only).

But wait a moment. The Republican National Committee sponsored a candidate debate (on Aug. 23) which required the candidates to sign a pledge to support whomever the Republican Party's nominee for president is in the 2024 election.

Now if the RNC is presumably the leadership and senior management body of the Republican Party and former President Trump has refused to both sign that pledge and to participate in the RNC-sanctioned debate, then wouldn't that be seen as the actions of a RINO and ipso facto make Trump a RINO?
