Give vets a real break on Veterans Day

Let me start by saying that I am a veteran. Every year Veterans Day comes, and I see so many people are off work and school. I and most of my veteran friends work on this day. I don’t understand this.

In my opinion, every veteran should be off this day and the taxing bodies should allow the employers to take a dollar-for-dollar tax deduction for each veteran’s salary for the day. I have submitted this comment before and never received a response. What do you think?
