Grayslake firefighters blood drive

Grayslake Fire Protection District will host a blood drive Saturday, July 2. In conjunction with LifeSource, the drive will run from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the headquarters firehouse at 160 Hawley St. in downtown Grayslake. Officials said the donated blood will help serve local hospitals. It takes an estimated 45 minutes to donate blood. While walk-ins are welcome, appointments are preferred.
