In-line skaters race through Hoffman Estates
Hundreds of runners and in-line skaters from around the U.S. blazed through Hoffman Estates this weekend during the fourth annual Alexian Brothers Fitness for America Sports Festival.
The festival had more than 20 events over the course of the weekend, ranging from a free kids obstacle course to a 10K run and an in-line skating marathon.
Sunday's events included multiple in-line skating races, the nation's second-largest in-line marathon, and award presentations. One of the weekend's highlights was the Luigino Chicagoland Inline Tour, featuring the nation's top in-line skaters.
Fitness for America also is an official charity of Special Olympics Illinois.
