Couple wins Cougars Valentine’s Day dinner

Submitted by Kane County Cougars

The Kane County Cougars recently announced that Brian and Kristen Czupryn from Plainfield are the winning couple in the Cougars’ “Valentine’s Day Dinner with Ozzie” promotion.

The Czupryns will win a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner served in a Cougars’ suite Tuesday evening. The dinner will be served by guest waiter Ozzie T. Cougar.

Brian Czupryn was one of more than 70 individuals who took part in the promotion, which asked fans to submit, in a 400-word essay, “Who is the special sweetheart in your life, and why?” His essay was the randomly-selected winner.

Brian and Kristen, who were high school sweethearts, celebrated their first date at a Cougars game nearly 11 years ago.

“Kristen has provided so much to me and is the reason behind everything I do. I would do anything for her, and plan on that for the rest of my life,” Brian wrote as part of his essay.

The winning couple will arrive at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark at approximately 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and enjoy several surprises. Ozzie T. Cougar will greet the couple and serve dinner inside a Cougars upper deck suite.

“We’d like to thank all Cougars fans who took the time to send us an essay about the special love in their life,” said Shawn Touney, Cougars director of public relations.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming Brian and Kristen to Fifth Third Bank Ballpark for an unforgettable and truly creative Valentine’s Day memory.”
