Biden will be in Chicago Monday

Vice President Joe Biden is headed to Chicago next week.

Biden’s office said Thursday that the vice president will appear Monday in Chicago. Biden, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin will attend the groundbreaking of a new domestic violence shelter.

Officials say it will be the first new domestic violence shelter built in Chicago in more than a decade. It will have two stories and 40 beds.
