JFK’s assassination led to LBJ’s expansion of the Vietnam quagmire, Nixon’s Watergate/resignation, Ford’s pardon of the crook, Carter’s Oil Shock/ineffectiveness, Reagan’s illegal Iran-Contra arms deal/death of 280 Marines in Lebanon/trickle-down economics, Clinton’s approval of NAFTA/elimination of Glass-Stegal controls on banks, Bush’s disasters in Iraq-Afghanistan/tax breaks for rich/Great Recession/huge deficits and Obama’s NSA Spying/decay in face of Tea Party obstructionism.

We lost a brilliant/inspirational leader before he could achieve much progress and were saddled with a long list of politicians who have squandered America’s future.
