Academic Team an enjoyable read
I applaud the Daily Herald for its 2009-2010 high school graduating class Academic Team. Also, I congratulate each of the 10 chosen for the Academic Team and each of the 23 selected for honorable mention.
It is interesting that of the 10, eight ranked first in their class, one ranked second, and one school (Naperville Central) doesn't do rankings. I enjoyed reading the top 10 students' personal statements, especially the philosophical insight of Nicholas Biebel of Glenbard North and the thoughtful reasoning of Anne Wei of Naperville Central.
