Kirk will learn that 'Character counts'
Mark Kirk's hometown, Highland Park, has embraced a nationwide program called Character Counts. The objective of the program is the teaching of ethical values in its public schools.
According to its charter, the tenets of the program are "a framework centered on basic values called the Six Pillars of Character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship."
Unfortunately, Kirk fails the grade when measured by most of these characteristics.
Mark Kirk's lies and exaggerations regarding his military service imply that the end justifies the means and character does not count in the quest for ambition and goals.
What a horrible lesson to teach children!
