Diabetes screenings planned in Elk Grove

Free diabetes screenings will be held Thursday, Nov. 14 in Elk Grove Village in recognition of Diabetes Awareness Day.

Medical staff from Alexian Brothers Medical Center will conduct the blood glucose screenings, which are scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon at the Pavilion, 1000 Wellington Ave. Staff will be able to answer questions and provide referrals for follow-up care if necessary, officials said.
