Submitted by St. Charles North High School
St. Charles North High School will hold its seventh annual Veterans Celebration Concert, saluting veterans, men and women of the armed forces, their families and friends.
The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, at St. Charles North High School auditorium, 255 Red Gate Road, St. Charles.
This free concert pays tribute to all veterans’ service to our country. For students, it emphasizes the importance of the day, enabling them to honor our military veterans for giving us the freedom to live and believe as we choose.
In recognition of the importance this event has in the community, the St. Charles Youth Commission and many businesses have contributed to the continuing success of this annual concert.
Musical selections will feature American music to celebrate the nation’s veterans performed by St. Charles North’s award-winning music students.
Songs from each branch of the armed forces will be played to recognize those veterans present. The master of ceremonies is WGN’s own Orion Samuelson.
Veterans are encouraged to register for free tickets at www.scnmusic.com/veterans/ before Wednesday, Oct. 30. The general public can register for tickets after Friday, Nov. 1.
There will only be one show, space is limited and past performances have sold out. Priority ticketing and seating will be given to those that have served the nation.
