Barrington Hills toddler killed by overturned dresser
An autopsy performed Tuesday indicated that a 2-year-old Barrington Hills boy died Monday from injuries caused by a dresser overturning on him, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Shane Siefert was pronounced dead at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates at 6:17 p.m. Monday, a medical examiner's spokesman said.
The autopsy concluded Shane died from compression and the death was ruled an accident.
The Barrington Hills Police Department confirmed it is investigating the death, but declined further comment Tuesday night.
