Aurora police hunting two bank robbery suspects

Aurora police are looking for two men suspected of robbing a bank inside a west side grocery store Wednesday afternoon.

Aurora police responded about 1 p.m. to an alarm at the TCF Bank inside the Jewel-Osco at 1270 N. Lake St. Police learned one man gave a female bank teller a note demanding an unknown amount of money and a second man acted as a lookout. When the teller gave the first man money, both fled on foot.

Both suspects are described as black men between 20 and 25 years old, between 5 feet 9 inches and 6 feet tall and weighing between 140 and 160 pounds.

The men did not display weapons or indicate they had weapons during the robbery and no one was injured, authorities said.

Two men with similar physical characteristics also are accused of robbing a TCF Bank inside a Jewel-Osco in Oswego on Monday.

Aurora police, Oswego police and the FBI are investigating the robberies and attempting to determine if they are connected.
