McHenry County teen dies in snowmobiling accident

A suburban teen died in a Wisconsin snowmobiling accident in central Wisconsin, police reported Saturday.

Juneau County Sheriff Brent H. Oleson said in a news release that 17-year-old Mallori Papp, of Pistakee Highlands, lost control of the snowmobile she was driving at 4:52 p.m. Friday on the Omaha Snowmobile trail near the village of Hustler, northwest of Madison.

Papp hit an embankment and sustained blunt force trauma to the chest, coroner Kathy Kohutko said.

Papp was pronounced dead shortly after 6 p.m. at Hess Memorial Hospital in Mauston, officials said.
