Winners announced for YMCA Tot Trot

The Prairie Valley Family YMCA held its first Elgin-area Tot Trot May 26 at Taylor Family Y in Elgin. The winners include the following finishers.

It was designed to complement the Elgin Fox Trot races being held earlier that same day. Winners received trophies and second- and third-place finishers in each race got silver and bronze medals, respectively. All other racers will receive “Super Star” medals and ribbons just for participating.

First place: Roselyn Gotter-Valentine of Elgin, age 2 and younger; Dahlia Rojas-Pierce of Elgin, age 3; and Olivia McKlem of Gilberts, age 4.

Second place: Lillian Haughee of Elgin, age 2 and younger; and Addison Johnson of Elgin, age 3.

Third place: Noah Peralez of Elgin, age 2 and younger; and Sophie Rizvi of Elgin, age 3.
