No new taxes for Illinois

Upon hearing that Governor Quinn wants a 33 percent tax hike for Illinois residents, I say one thing - no way. Springfield caused this mess - not the residents.

These leaders must solve it the only way possible and that is cutting the budget and making state government live within its means. Governor Quinn is not a profile in courage; a governor who would be willing to make the hard decisions by getting our state budget balanced, lowering taxes and reforming our pension systems would be a profile in courage in my book.

The people of Illinois are hurting because jobs have left the state because of mismanagement and high taxes. Help the people and businesses of Illinois and vote no to any new tax increases and in fact, I ask the governor and General Assembly to start cutting and reducing this awful burden on all Illinois residents.
