Rosemont officers chase stolen car to Rockford area
Rosemont officers were involved in a police chase that ended late Thursday near Rockford, authorities said.
A Rosemont Public Safety Department sergeant began to pursue a vehicle, which was purported to be stolen, at 10:50 p.m. Thursday, according to Superintendent Donald Stephens III.
Rosemont 911 dispatchers said of the six people in the vehicle, two females were being held against their will. That led additional officers, including Stephens, to join the pursuit, he wrote on his Twitter page.
The chase continued for about an hour and ended near the Rockford/Cherry Valley area. One suspect was arrested, while three females in the car were uninjured, Stephens said.
Police are searching for two other suspects, who may be armed.
