Local golfer wins $91,000 Porsche at Children’s Heart Foundation event

With one swing of his 4-iron, Bob Maguire recently sank a hole-in-one and won a new 2012 Porsche Cayman R from The Porsche Exchange in Highland Park.

Maguire’s 175-yard shot on the second hole at Conway Farms Golf Club in Lake Forest came during The Children’s Heart Foundation Golf Outing. It netted him every golfer’s dream, a new Porsche.

Bruce Semersky, vice president of Semersky Enterprises and general manager of The Porsche Exchange, said he was “delighted” for Maguire.

“One good drive deserves another, and the Cayman is a great car,” Semersky said.

“Any time we can support a charity as worthy as The Children’s Heart Foundation, we’re honored,” he added.

Maguire recently stopped by the dealership to pick up his new $91,000 Porsche along with Bill Foley, executive director of The Children’s Heart Foundation; Todd Ford, president of the foundation’s Illinois chapter, and Leo Cole, chairman of the annual golf outing.

Mark Witzke of Golf Invite provided the insurance for the hole-in-one.

“Everyone at The Porsche Exchange was excited when Bob came in to get his keys, but of course Bob was the most excited of all,” Semersky said.
