New app for Bartlett commuters to pay for parking

Beginning Friday, commuters who ride the Metra trains from the Bartlett station will have a new online option to pay for their daily parking stalls.

The village of Bartlett is offering the PassportParking mobile app, which can be downloaded on a smartphone device or accessed on one's computer at ppprk.com.

Use of the app will cost a 32-cent convenience fee, but commuters can avoid the additional cost by continuing to use the pay boxes at the Bartlett train depot.

The village also will continue to sell quarterly parking permits for the commuter lot by visiting bartlettpermits.rmcpay.com or calling (630) 837-0800.

Those who do sign up for the new mobile app will need to verify their phone number or email address, create a four-digit PIN, enter "6302" for the Bartlett station's zone number and punch in the stall number of their parking space.
