Cook County property taxes due Nov. 1

Payment of the second installment of 2010 Cook County property taxes are due Tuesday, Nov. 1. Payments postmarked after that date will be charged a 1.5 percent penalty per month on unpaid balances. The Cook County Treasurer’s Office said the bills, which were mailed last month to more than 1.7 million homes, may be paid at any Chase bank, by mail or at cookcountytreasurer.com.
