Body Trek summer camp comes to Naperville

There’s a new summer camp available to Naperville area students who are interested in taking a journey through the human body.

The Robert Crown Center for Health Education offers “Body Trek,” a two-week science camp designed to give students in fifth through eighth grade an in-depth exploration of the human body and an overview of health and science careers.

For the first time, Body Trekkers can attend sessions on the campus of North Central College. Campers visit hospital operating rooms and learn through dissecting animal organs, including the brain, eye, heart and lungs.

“Body Trek” is led by RCC educator Dr. David Bedney and other health professionals.

The summer camp is offered 12:30 to 4 p.m. July 9-19. Tuition is $375 per camper. Program information and registration is available at www.robertcrown.org/summerCamps.shtml or by calling (630) 325-1900.
