‘Happy Days’ star to address Illinois conference
SPRINGFIELD — “Happy Days” TV star Marion Ross will be among several speakers addressing more than 1,200 emergency management professionals at their annual conference Wednesday.
The Emmy-nominated Ross played Marion Cunningham on the hit television series of the 1970s and 1980s. She also has appeared in other series such as “Touched by an Angel,” “Gilmore Girls,” “That 70’s Show,” and “Brothers and Sisters.”
Ross is featured in four radio spots for the Illinois Emergency Management Agency’s “Ready Illinois” campaign. Ross stresses the importance of having a home preparedness kit. The agency launched the campaign in 2008 with the Illinois Broadcasters Association.
