Wolves clinch home ice in 3-0 victory over Rockford
ROCKFORD - Goaltender Drew MacIntyre shut down the Rockford IceHogs, and the Chicago Wolves clinched home ice for the first two games of the West Division semifinal series with a 3-0 victory at the Rockford MetroCentre on Saturday night.
MacIntyre (20-15-2) stopped 33 shots in his third shutout of the season. Matt Anderson (goal, assist) and Jason Krog (2 assists) paced the Wolves (46-20-1-6). The Wolves lead the West Division by 8 points with seven games remaining.
Anderson put the Wolves up 1-0 at 1:27 of the first period. Rockford goalie Corey Crawford made an initial save on a shot from the point by Arturs Kulda, but Anderson was there to slide in the rebound.
Crawford (21-16-2) finished with 18 saves.
