Lincoln School's Beloved Kris Anderson 'Miss A'Retiring

Kris Anderson, 4th grade teacher for the last 35 years at Lincoln Elementary School in St. Charles, will be retiring in June. Lincoln School plans a retirement celebration Open House in her honor on Sunday, June 3rd, 1-4pm.

For the past three decades, 4th graders at Lincoln Elementary School have benefited from Miss A's love of learning and teaching. Her strong sense of loyalty and appreciation of history made it clear that there was no other building where Kris would rather teach. Known for her happy smiles and warm and friendly face, Kris has used masterful storytelling and creativity in each day's lesson. Every 4th grader at Lincoln school will remember learning from her about Abraham Lincoln, Springfield history , the State Fair and trips to local parks. Miss A has had the amazing ability to celebrate every learner, embracing individual gifts and working to find the best ways to impart knowledge to each student. When the school bells ring in late August, Miss A. plans to fill her time with traveling, pottery, gardening and skiing.
