Palatine St. Patrick’s Day event accepting parade entries

Organizers of the 2nd Annual Paint the Town Green event in Palatine are now accepting applications for parade entries. The parade will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 17, in downtown Palatine. It also will serve to collect food, clothing and disposable paper products for Journeys from PADS to Hope, a nonprofit organization supporting the homeless and near-homeless. An Irish market and numerous other activities will round out the event. Applications will be accepted through Jan. 31 and those selected will be notified by Feb. 20.
