Special Gurnee park session

Gurnee Park District commissioners plan to hold a special meeting Monday. It’ll start at 6 p.m. at Viking Park Activity Room No. 4, 4374 Old Grand Ave. Officials are expected to approve bids for interior painting and exercise equipment purchases for the FitNation facility just east of the Tri-State Tollway and Grand Avenue. The park district is turning the former Gold’s Gym in Nations Drive into FitNation. The park district on Oct. 15 finalized the $9.1 million purchase.
