Hanover Park Fire Dept. to hold open house Oct. 12

The Hanover Park Fire Department will host its annual open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at fire station No. 1, 6850 Barrington Road.

The event will feature station tours, displays from community organizations and demonstrations including vehicle extrication at the Illinois State Police vehicle rollover simulator.

The fire department also will have its equipment on display and hold a Kids Combat Challenge, which gives kids the opportunity to dress in firefighting bunker gear.
