Why wait another year for tax reform?

Once again our governing bodies have had a financial shortfall. As usual, the cry “Close the tax loopholes” goes out. Before pointing fingers at the taxpayers, ask who was responsible for creating these loopholes. The same people who want reform are the creators of the tax laws.

There are large groups of trained professionals who understand and translate these laws, such as certified public accountants, financial planners and bankers. Go to several IRS offices and you will receive a multitude of interpretations.

The cry for tax reform has gone out every April 15. The ones mouthing this cry are our government representatives. There is an old saying, “More with the paws, less with the jaws.”

The American public is waiting.
