Palatine Rural to hold open house at fire station

The Palatine Rural Fire Protection District will hold an open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at the fire station, 35 Ela Road, Inverness.

The event is free and open to the public. It will feature several vendors, live burn demonstrations, a hands-on activities area for kids, the opportunity to take pictures with Sparky the Dalmatian and other activities.

Additional parking is available at Holy Family Parish, 2515 W. Palatine Road, Inverness, and shuttle service will be provided. For more information, call the fire district at (847) 991-8700.
