Emanuel: Chicago staffing company to hire 400

Mayor Rahm Emanuel says a Chicago staffing company plans 400 new jobs over the next year.

Emanuel announced Wednesday that SeatonCorp will hire programmers, recruiters and account managers. The staffing and recruiting company operates the PeopleScout, Staff Management and StudentScout brands. SeatonCorp will have about 1,600 employees in Chicago including the 400 new positions.

It was the eighth time over his first four months in office that Emanuel has made a jobs announcement. He has announced 4,600 new jobs, including 1,300 at United Airlines, 1,000 at Allscripts and hundreds at companies like Walgreens, Motorola Solutions and Chase Bank.
