The rich in office just get richer

If you add up our current federal deficit and include all the interest, the cost of the two Bush wars (which Bush did not put on the books), 90 percent of our total federal deficit was racked up by a Reagan plus two Bush presidencies. For all this debt we got wars, 8 million (and counting) of our jobs shipped overseas, massive financial and mortgage deregulation, plus the corporatization of our medical system. Our medical system has become the old Jack Benny joke demanding “Your money or your life.” Except it is not a joke. It is real.

European countries look at our system and wonder how U.S. voters could have ever voted to allow the richest people to run our country: buy our government, make law after law favoring themselves, and just sit back and let the money trickle (and gush) up into their pockets.

In November get out and vote. Voting is a lifetime responsibility.
