Open house at fire station:

The Mundelein Fire Department hosts its annual open house at Station No. 1, 1000 N. Midlothian Road, on Sunday. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. An emergency helicopter will be on the scene. Activities will include a vehicle extrication demonstration and a kiddie combat challenge. Popcorn and hot dogs will be available. For more information, call (847) 949-3260.
