Your news ‘A Kid at Heart’ closing reception set for Sept. 8

A family sing with Macaroni Soup will be at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8, at 110 W. Fremont St., in Arlington Heights.

Nationally known, but locally grown, musician Miss Carole and Clarence of Macaroni Soup will perform. The event is free, please call (847) 255-1225 to reserve your spot. Refreshments will be served and the Heritage Gallery exhibit, “A Kid at Heart, Looking at Childhood Play,” will be open.

Discovery Toys will also be on sale as a fundraising event for the museum.

This event is the closing reception for the current exhibit “A Kid at Heart, Looking at Childhood Play.” Antique and collectible dolls and toys from the 19th and 20th centuries are featured in this Arlington Heights Historical Museum exhibit. Some modern and reproduction toys will also be available for some hands-on fun.

“A Kid at Heart, Looking at Childhood Play” can be viewed at the Arlington Heights Historical Museum’s Heritage Gallery, 112 N. Fremont, Friday through Sunday, 1:30-4:30 p.m. The exhibit runs until Sept. 22.
