AURORA — Rush-Copley Medical Centesaid it selected Medicity health information exchange technology to facilitate affiliated physicians’ access to clinical results and reports.
“Improving physician access to laboratory and other data is critical because it enhances meaningful use of electronic health records and prepares us all for the challenges of health care reform,” said Dennis DeMasie, vice president and CIO of Rush-Copley, which is part of Chicago-based Rush System for Health. “We selected Medicity because its solutions enable us to realize our goals of enhancing care coordination with local physicians today while positioning us to link with regional health information exchanges in the future.”
