I respond to the $25,000 Taiwan trip taken by Congressman Peter Roskam. It seems more than coincidental that his daughter attends school there.

It is said that “God helps those who help themselves.” One election in the 1940s I once heard Hoagy Carmichael sing, “Vote for Me! Vote for me! Vote for me! If you want prosperity, vote for me! Vote — mee.
