Rosemont construction firm wins award

James A. McShane, CEO, and Jeffrey A. Raday, president of McShane Construction Company, announced that the Rosemont-based firm was selected as the 2010 General Contractor of the Year by the Chicago Chapter of the Commercial Real Estate Development Association (NAIOP).

Nomination criteria for the designation included projects that were signed or construction commenced between July 1, 2009 and June 30, 2010. McShane's nomination featured several recent projects including the 28-unit, six-story, LEED-registered Hairpin Lofts and LEED-registered build-to-suit headquarters office facility for Medline Industries in Mundelein.

The NAIOP Chicago Chapter's Annual Awards for Excellence event is a collaboration of real estate and construction industry professionals in support of The Children's Memorial Foundation.
