Lincolnshire Art Festival taking place Aug. 17 and 18

Now celebrating its 16th year, the Lincolnshire Art Festival is ranked as one of the top 100 festivals in the country by Sunshine Artist magazine. Located in the Village Green in Lincolnshire, the festival hosts 130 juried artists from around the world. Artists and art enthusiasts unite at this thriving festival that offers fine art in a variety of mediums and price points.

The festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18. Village Green is at Milwaukee Avenue and Olde Half Day Road in Lincolnshire. Admission is free, and there will be free parking on-site, with additional parking available at the College of Lake County with a complimentary shuttle to the festival.

Events highlights include live music on the music stage sponsored by WLIT, food and activities for kids including an art scavenger hunt and spin art.

Art enthusiasts will have the opportunity to see the masters at work with interactive art demos and booth chats taking place all weekend long. Festival-goers of all ages will have an opportunity to get into the “art-filled” action by contributing to a mural on-site at the festival. Daily drawings will take place and several lucky festival-goers will receive Art Buck$, courtesy of Amdur Productions, to spend on a piece of art at any of Amdur Productions’ 2013 festivals.
