Hall Quarry Beach offering special for pass holders

Hall Quarry Beach 2009 season pass holders can renew their season passes at a discounted rate during a "Welcome Back" promotion offered by the Batavia Park District.

The Batavia Park District is offering this promotion for a limited time only, through April 1. Increased rates will take effect April 5 when season pass sales open to the general public. Promotion rates for residents are $38 for ages 4-12; $48 for ages 13-59; and $18 for ages 60 and older. Batavia nonresident rates are an additional $7.50 per pass. This promotion applies to last year's season pass holders only.

Registration for the promotion is taken at the Civic Center, 327 W. Wilson St., and the Eastside Community Center, 14 N. Van Buren St. Civic Center hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. March 29-April 1. Passes are available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 29-April 1 at the Eastside Community Center. There are no exceptions beyond the listed promotion hours. The last day of the promotion is April 1.

Nonresident season passes will be available starting April 5. An individual nonresident season pass is $110. All season passes are nonrefundable.

Hall Quarry Beach will be open from noon to 6 p.m. daily from June 14 through Aug. 15. Hours will be extended to noon to 7 p.m. on Fridays.

Hall Quarry Beach is an award-winning facility of the Batavia Park District. The beach occupies a former stone quarry owned by the Park District. It features a sand bottom swimming area covering 60,000 square feet that includes islands, slides, and a diving area. Beach passes are available to residents and visitors pay a daily fee. Hall Quarry Beach is located at 400 South Water Street, Batavia.
