Author, psychologist to speak at Quest Academy in Palatine

Stanford University psychologist Carol Dweck, whose book “Mindset” examines the psychology behind success, will speak at Quest Academy in Palatine from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 1.

The event is open to the public and takes place in Quest’s gymnasium, 500 N. Benton, Palatine.

Dweck, who has discussed her message with national media outlets, will speak about her book and topics including why praising brains and talent can jeopardize self-esteem and accomplishment.
