Buffalo Grove Chamber launching community awards program

The Buffalo Grove Area Chamber of Commerce is starting a new Buffalo Grove tradition … recognizing members of the community that care.

The Heart of Buffalo Grove Awards will be awarded to community volunteers and caring individuals. These awards include Community, Senior and Youth Volunteer awards, an Educator award and awards for Business Philanthropy, Environmental Consciousness and Going Above and Beyond.

The Heart of Buffalo Grove Awards will be presented at a Celebration Dinner Event on Saturday, Nov. 19, at the Arboretum Club in Buffalo Grove.

The chamber encourages residents and businesses of Buffalo Grove to make nominations for these awards. Nomination forms are available on the chamber’s website — buffalogrovechamber.org, at the Buffalo Grove Village Hall and at the chamber office, 50½ Raupp Blvd., behind village hall.

People can nominate more than one person for any and all awards. Nominations must be received by Thursday, Sept. 1. For information, call the chamber office at (847) 541-7799.

The chamber is asking people to promote their businesses at the awards banquet. Sponsor forms are available with the nomination forms.
