Improve Playhouse performance

Libertyville’s Improv Playhouse presents a Chicago-based cabaret for audiences on Aug. 10 at 7:30 and 9 p.m. Actors Rachel Page, Christie Burgess and musical director, Matt Piet, have teamed to present, “Don’t Call Us, We’ll Call You”, a vocal showcase production that takes a fresh and amusing look at crushed musical theater dreams, one song at a time. Featuring works by Andrew Lippa, Rogers and Hammerstein, and Goldrich and Heisler, Christie and Rachel sing about two very different girls who never quite get their names in lights. A dinner and show package has been arranged with Libertyville restaurants Café Pyrenees and Trattoria Promigliano. Pre-sale tickets are $12.50 for adults and $8.50 for students. Prices at the door are $15 for adults and $10 for students. For information, call Improv Playhouse at (847) 968-4529 or visit improvplayhouse.com.
