Auditions open for young actors

Auditions for the Improv Playhouse North Shore Young Actors Production (4th-8th grades) of the nonmusical literary classic, “The Secret Garden”, will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13 at the Highland Park Karger Center, 1850 Green Bay Road.

Rehearsals will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Fridays and 3 to 5 p.m. Sundays from Jan. 21 through April 22. Performances are tentatively scheduled for the weekend of April 20-22. There is a workshop fee of $315.

The play is the story of Mary Lennox, a difficult child sent to live at her uncle’s estate in England after her parents pass away. There she discovers a strange walled garden that has been locked up for years.
