Grainger reports monthly sales up
Lake Forest-based Grainger today reported daily sales for the month of November 2010 increased 14 percent versus November last year.
Results for the month included a 2 percentage point contribution from acquisitions and a 1 percentage point contribution from foreign exchange. Excluding acquisitions and foreign exchange, daily sales for the company increased 11 percent.
November had 21 selling days in 2010 and 20 in 2009. The 2010 fourth quarter will have 63 selling days compared to 64 in the 2009 fourth quarter.
W.W. Grainger Inc. with 2009 sales of $6.2 billion is North America's broad line supplier of maintenance, repair and operating products with an expanding presence in Asia and Latin America.
